Today, my boyfriend told me he likes to do things the old-fashioned way, and that he wouldn't propose to me without my father's blessing. My dad died 3 years ago, and he knows it. FML

sounds like he doesn't want to be with you anymore in which case he needs to grow a pair and tell you instead of this crap of only dad's blessing will allow purposal and to be honest if my father sadly past and the significant other wanted blessings I have an older brother grand father and two uncles who can fill the role of blessing givers
