Today, my boyfriend was really stressed about a guy he works with being a jerk. I told him "if you ignore something long enough, it won't bother you anymore." His response was "I've ignored my herpes for a long time but it still bothers me." We've been having sex for 3 months now. FML

Today, my boyfriend, who I have been seeing for a year, decided to tell me that he has herpes and has not taken any precautions to stop it from passing on. We have had unprotected sex quite a lot over the last year, so now I most likely have herpes too. FML

Today, after receiving a negative herpes test four months ago, my doctor called me and told me it was a false negative and I’ve been living with herpes for four months. I then had to tell everyone I’ve slept with about it, and worst of all my new boyfriend broke up with me. All in one day. FML

If he's just joking, good job for being quick on his feet. But if he's serious, you could sue him. If you know that you have an STD, especially an incurable one, and you do not inform your sexual partner, that's a federal crime.

well, if your BF didn't tell you he had herpes, you can sue him for not telling you. its your fault though because you both should have gotten tested. best wishes for you.
