Did you discuss marriage? Not a lot of girls want to share their proposal with another person.

Excellent question! I'm shocked at the number of people who do not discuss what marriage actually mean with their potential spouse. Do you share the same goals and vision of the future? Where do you hope to be in 5 years? 10? 50? Do you want kids? When and how many? How will you raise them? I get it's awesomely spontaneous to pop the question when you don't know what the answer will be. It is, though, incredibly stupid for the rest of your life to anchor yourself for the rest of the life when you don't know the basics of his/her life starting, "Will you marry me if I ask you?"
