Congratulations on the upcoming wedding! I would definitely consider banning your brother, if a stern talking to won't keep him from acting like an ass.
Some people just shouldn't be at weddings. They can't accept that this is YOUR special day and try to ruin it. I say ban the brother just to be sure you have the best day ever!
I think it would be cool if, as a society, we agreed that whoever asks for the first date is not the one who proposes. Like, person A asks person B on a first date, which initiates the romantic relationship. If they're both happy in said relationship, and neither person breaks it off, it should fall to person B to propose furthering the commitment of said relationship. I just personally like the concept because there are literally no gender roles to it.
