Usually girls are clingy because they are afraid because they don't feel loved. Try just validating her by being honest ask for some space and explain that is has nothing to do with not loving her. If u communicate with her she will probably understand.

Agreed, but sometimes it's insecurity. My ex was very clingy she was afraid that I was going to leave her for someone else. Nothing I could do would convince her and at some point it was starting to affecting my job. Sometimes things can improve, but there really are times no matter how hard you try to convince them they still can't get rid of that feeling. OP if it's that bad you might not be able to do much to change that. That's how some people are and are very insecure and will always be afraid no matter what you do.
