That wouldn't fix anything. The boss might walk past again to see her with another message open. Then her explanation afterwards wouldn't be justified. She'd be just like her co-worker.

And the boss might get mad that OP was taking personality quizzes instead of working. Some bosses can be unreasonable

17 - hows the boss unreasonable? assuming the boss did not see the co-worker send the messages, the boss was right in getting annoyed at someone checking their phone on the job... its just bad luck it was op who was caught and not the co-worker
