Today, my credit card got blocked. Apparently, my bank thinks buying a $130 flat iron online is suspicious. FML

Well better safe than sorry? You should be glad that your bank takes precautions with online purchasing. I don't understand doesn't it make you feel secure? I understand it's an annoyance so fyl for that but like I said, better to be safe than sorry

Flat iron $30 @ walmart, but you'd rather spend an extra $100 just to buy one online.....wow....maybe you should just cancel your account, cut up your card & not ever gave to worry about being blocked again. :)

It's not the "online" that costs more, it's the quality. Go to a store that specializes in beauty products, and you'll see them everywhere from $20 to $400. I use a $30 one, personally, but to each their own. I'm sure the expensive ones can be very nice.

The only reason I paid so much is because I'm in a scene band and it gets really hot on stage and when you sweat you hair gets really wet lol but the one I hade kept my hair the way I straightened it after my hair dries after the show XD

Mine's been blocked for buying a new laptop before. Yeah, banks have weird reasons. But as stated above...wtf was with a $130 flat iron?

Your an idiot. If your not buying a flat iron everyday or something from that sight they see it as abnormal and not something you usually do, so they protect u against fraudulent charges and block your card until you confirm it was you.
