Today, my dad asked me to lend him some money to buy his medication, since he's all but broke right now. He returned with nothing but a bottle of tequila. FML

Time to talk to him. He may be drinking to cover up his depression over his money problems, and things in that nature. That will only make it worse.

Depending on the kind of medication and what it was for, it could have been free. Otherwise it'd be what £9 for a prescription. Next time I would go with him and pay for him so he can't spend it on the wrong things. We have to do it with my mum otherwise she buys chocolate and cake :(
