FYL OP. I hope that you're not hurt and that the only resulting damage was to the tire and not to yourself or the others around you. More communication between you and your dad would be advised. Edit: After a re-read, it was clear the miscommunication was not your fault.

OP's Dad overinflated the tire to compensate for the possible puncture in the tire.(Hole) But if the tire popped down the road, it means that tire was very worn already.
