Geez give her a break an don't assume the worst in everyone! What if the microwave doesn't work that well and it actually takes 3 minutes to heat? Now it doesn't seem like such a dumb question after all. And it's a bit naiive to believe everything you see on a label too!

I have a very old microwave. it takes about twice as long to cook anything. I guess it's not a very stupid question after all.

In her defense, it takes longer to cook 2 minute noodles in a microwave or on the stove - the 2 minutes refers to boiling/cooking time - you need to add on time to heat the water to boiling point ☺

2 minutes noodles doesn't necesserily mean exact two minutes. The time could vary based on the oven watts or how much water you want left in the noodle. Hope she was just confirming that.
