Today, my daughter's guinea pig got stuck behind the wardrobe, squeaking its head off. I tried pulling the wardrobe towards me to free him, but couldn't take the weight of it all, so it fell over, smashing the TV. The guinea pig is fine. FML

Aw, just get another TV. A life is more valuable than a TV, even if it's not a human life

Just because a guinea pig is smaller than a human, cannot talk, and is not as smart as a human, doesnt mean it doesnt enjoy its life. a tv is an inanimate object, to which people have no personal or emotional attachment to, nor it to people. A life, even if its just a guinea pig's, is worth infinitely more than the most expensive tv.

Wow, don't we sound bitter about that guinea pig's survival. It sucks the tv's gone, but would you rather see your daughter cry?

shame on you for assigning a monetary value to a life.

The guinea pig (Cavia porcellus), also commonly called the Cavy, is a species of rodent belonging to the family Caviidae and the genus Cavia. Despite their common name, these animals are not pigs, nor do they come from Guinea. They originated in the Andes, and studies based on biochemistry and hybridization suggest they are domesticated descendants of a closely related species of cavy such as Cavia aperea, C. fulgida, or C. tschudii, and therefore do not exist naturally in the wild.[1][2] The guinea pig plays an important role in the folk culture of many Indigenous South American groups, especially as a food source, but also in folk medicine and in community religious ceremonies.[3] Since the 1960s, efforts have been made to increase consumption of the animal outside South America.[4] In Western societies, the guinea pig has enjoyed widespread popularity as a household pet since its introduction by European traders in the 16th century. Their docile nature, their responsiveness to handling and feeding, and the relative ease of caring for them, continue to make the guinea pig a popular pet. Organizations devoted to competitive breeding of guinea pigs have been formed worldwide, and many specialized breeds of guinea pig, with varying coat colors and compositions, are cultivated by breeders. Biological experimentation on guinea pigs has been carried out since the 17th century. The animals were frequently used as a model organism in the 19th and 20th centuries, resulting in the epithet "guinea pig" for a test subject, but have since been largely replaced by other rodents such as mice and rats. They are still used in research, primarily as models for human medical conditions such as juvenile diabetes, tuberculosis, scurvy, and pregnancy complications.

Oooo, no ciatations!!!! Better be careful before you get in trouble for not citing your sources ;)

Wait, citations? Why doesn't that look right to me???!!

Wow... FYL and the life of the TV. That's too bad... if it had been the other way around, you could've cooked the guinea pig for dinner like they do in Peru. Yummy pig is yummy.

F the loss of your TV, but I'm happy you saved the little squeeker.

aww lol that sucks but makes a cute story! At least your FLM didn't go the other way and you didn't have to post about cleaning guinea pig blood out of your carpet while your hysterical daughter watched!

sucks for you that you broke your tv. but you act like the guinea pig being fine is the FML.
