Today, my daughter's guinea pig got stuck behind the wardrobe, squeaking its head off. I tried pulling the wardrobe towards me to free him, but couldn't take the weight of it all, so it fell over, smashing the TV. The guinea pig is fine. FML

Aw, just get another TV. A life is more valuable than a TV, even if it's not a human life

I saw YDI for caring more about a TV than your daughter's pet.

it makes me really sad that people apparently don't seem to value the lives of all living creatures, just "legitimate" pets like cats or dogs. everything else seems to be fair game to mock or abuse and say "lol who gives a shit".

Yes, thank god your daughter's guinea pig didn't die to save your TV.

Well atleast the rodent is fine.. wouldn't want PETA harassing you as they did Obama over a flipping fly.

I rescued my cat from the engine of my car, I was kind of frantic and ended up doing a lil bit of damage under the hood and payed a bit in vet bills, but he's a happy cat now, his name is "Hemi." While it cost a bit, I don't regret it one bit. And as seeing the TV was in her bedroom, I highly doubt that was the only TV in the house, so I don't see the big deal.

aw thats so sad I would much prefer to the guiny pig to be dead after all that trouble

thats why you take the TV OFF the wardrobe BEFORE you move it. duh

you had a tv on top, you pulled it toward yourself, and it tipped over... so by pulling it toward yourself you mean that you tipped it towards yourself? as in you angled it, WHILE there was a heavy, fragile, expensive tv on top of it... unless i'm really not understanding how this played out you're REALLY mechanically disinclined.

yeah, because a fly is the same as a guinea pig.

Its your own damn fault for those kind of actions, a guinea pig is very small so only a few cm's of tilting the wardrobe would be enough. And even a 5 year old can support that weight.
