Today, my daughter's school was putting on a fashion show for charity and all the kids were supposed to ask their mothers to be in it. I asked my daughter about it and she said, "Well, I was going to ask you, but they said to only "ask all of your beautiful mommies." FML

When we got there and I saw her, I waved to her happily but she totally blanked me, plus my super strict mom smacked me on the back of the head for embarrassing her by not acting professionally while I was technically working. One, as #7 said, stories like these are trite. Second, this sounds like a reflection of your parenting. Shouldn't your daughter know by now not to say things that may hurt somebody's feelings?

#7- Dude, statements like these hurt even when coming from a little kid. Your child just called you ugly. It sucks. It may not be original, but kids can be assholes and this one certainly is.
