Today, my drunk brother thought I could withstand a metal chair being slammed across my back like on the wrestling shows. I guess he didn't know that the shows are fake. FML

Shit that sucks. I'm sorry, what an idiot

Oh hell yes! I used to think the shows were real back then so I tried to imitate some of the moves. Two broken arms, a broken rib, and a broken finger later, I began to suspect something was up.

You should get to know your new friend wheelchair cause it sounds like you two will be spending a lot of time together

At least now you know for certain that you're unable to withstand a metal chair being slammed across your back.

Get drunk & throw him off somewhere like they do in the ring.

tell him it didn't hurt and it's his turn now then he'll learn that wrestling is fake

your username and profile pic is just...your my hero!

I would have totally gone for the sledgehammer...oh great equalizer.

Many things are fake but the chair shot parts of wrestling are real though. Those aren't fake chairs. Guess you now know how tough those guys are to take a chair shot.

They're a softer metal than anything that would really hurt though, like steel!

not fake, staged. theatrical fighting is fake. doesn't hurt. wrestling is staged. still hurts. believe me, i've taken a few chair shots, among other things (yes, in the ring). Wrestlers are (read: should be) well trained. they've built up their tolerance to pain, and know how to correctly do the dangerous moves - screw up some of those moves, and you can paralyze or kill someone. there's lots of schools around. tell your brother to find one...

the chair hurting isn't because wrestling is fake, it's because neither of you are trained to either give a chairshot or take one properly so u can still walk after getting hit.
