Today, my family was discussing the new rules of the house we are moving in. They told my sister she couldn't have any boys in her room. They didn't tell me I couldn't have any girls in my room. Even my parents think I can't get a girlfriend. FML

Thats just how parents are, way more protective over their "little girl" when it comes to the opposite sex

Maybe they specifically aren't forbidding you to have girls in your room...

dont let it bother you. dont waste your time

Wow. That really doesn't mean anything, just lettin' ya know. And on the double-standard topic, I guess my parents are pretty cool. I've never had the no-guys rule because I grew up with all guys as friends. They're getting a little stricter with guys now that I'm older but not that much. It's pretty cool, actually.

Or your parents just thought that you should get laid for once

They're just being sexist, go on and take advantage of it.

Parents are more afraid of their daughter being potentially raped than their sons. Which I think is kind of sad, because BOTH happen. Also, I think they're more concerned with the fact that your sister might turn into a **** who has a bad judge of character.

maybe they are beign sexist and they don't care if you have girls in your room but don't want your sister getting any.

Or maybe they just don't care. Typically parents are more protective of their daughters than their sons.

Or your sisters a ****, and compared to you poses the more serious problem =D

They probably think you could get some. Dude, my brothers ALWAYS brought girls over and my parents said NOTHIGN of it. I bring ONE guy over and they're like DON'T BRING BOYS OVER! Tehy're going to get you pregnant!

Geez a little insecure. I'm sure it was either an age think (You are old enough now that it's okay, or they still think you are to young that it will be anything inappropriate) or it's because you are not a girl. Parents are a little more protective.
