I think she's trying to create drama. She probably is expecting you to ask your fiancé, which will probably upset him.
She is a "to-be mother-in-law". Just a trailer, this little episode.
mother-in-laws seems to do that a lot. she's just trying to chase you away. or, you know, she really hates you and wants to torture you by inticing your curiosity.
Seems like she wants to get rid of you, this seems very sketchy.
It's a scare tactic. Either she is trying to see if you'd let yourself influenced enough to doubt your husband and if therefore you're worthy of him, or she is trying to make you run away. Either ignore it or if it bugs you, talk to your husband about it.
