You don't know the intricacies of the situation; who are you to judge her? We all make mistakes. If your reasons for believing abstinence is the "right" path are religious then maybe you should stop being hypocritical, take a look at the rest of your doctrine, and extend some sympathy to her. You obviously have no clue what it is like to be pregnant because if you did you wouldn't be acting like a bunch of ignorant assholes. Also, just because a couple is married doesn't mean one of them can't just take off if they think the grass is greener. Marriage isn't some miracle institution that ensures people will love each other forever and ever. Rushing into marriage because you want to have sex with someone is just as irresponsible as having unprotected sex. Judging from some your comments that's exactly what you're suggesting. Aren't you against divorce too?

I can't believe how many people on here are being so judgmental. Are you all really telling us that you intend to marry someone without ever sleeping with them first? I think it's really foolish to marry someone without making sure you're sexually compatible first. Sex is not the most important thing in a marriage but it is definitely a big part. Not only that, it's a good idea to be with someone for several years before you marry them to make sure you're really compatible. Being in a serious, long-term relationship without ever having sex is almost impossible for anyone with a healthy sex drive. Birth control is not 100% effective. I know several couples who got pregnant while they were engaged. It's usually not that big of a deal if you're already committed to someone and are already planning the wedding. Sure the OP and her fiance could have become engaged only because of the pregnancy, but you have no way of knowing if that's the case. Good luck with assuming your life will always go according to plan, that's not how it works for 99% of us.
