Today, my fiancée's OCD hit a new low when she screamed at me for flicking the light-switch off "the wrong way". This led to her flicking it on and off about a dozen times, followed by a twenty-minute lecture on how to do it "properly". We're getting married next month. FML

Make sure you request lots and lots of light bulbs on your wedding registry!

this is a FYL and a YDI. FYL because yes you are going to have to put up with stuff like this alot , but YDI because you are choosing to do it you're not married yet lol. Hope it all works out for you OP.

sounds like someone got a problem handling their "better half". Maybe you should reconsider getting married, you don't seem very thrilled and from what I understand getting married is supposed to be the best day of your life yadda yadda ya. You better suck it up and deal with it or get away if you can't handle it or both of you will end up miserable.

If you agreed to marry someone with OCD, this is what you signed up for. YDI.

Run away! Apparently you have not seen everything yet. ... 'Till death do you part' could take on a whole new meaning!!!

She needs to see a therapist. Look into ones that help OCD patients. Intensive therapy can help her break those sort of things...but if she won't go for the therapy It's never too late to back out.

Run like hell while you still can! Do you really want to spend your whole life that way?

Too many people have this problem now a days. I'd flick it 'wrong' every time and tell her to learn to deal with it

You don't get to say.. 'we are getting married next month' OCD is something that does not go unnoticed.. Especially when it's that bad. You knew what you signed up for
