Today, my flatmate wanted to introduce me to his new friend, saying we'd, "get along great". Within the first half hour, she'd used the word "lit" eight times, and dabbed four times. FML

Today, at a party, my friend introduced me to her roommate by spouting the usual crap, like, “You guys just had to meet, you have so much in common.” After 20 minutes of very painful, awkward conversation, it was clear the only thing we had in common was being the only two black people in the room. My sister-in-law is the same way. You just need to learn the language of the young ones. I communicate with her by randomly throwing out the phrases "savage", "fo real tho", and occasionally "turnt up". She usually laughs and then spews out another volley of nonsense, so I think it's working.
