Depends on the last name. Lol
Fanny is a common French name. It shouldn't be a problem anywhere as I know like 3 Fannys.
Just explain what it means
It either means ass or c*nt, but as long as you don't move to the US or UK it shouldn't be a problem. Source:My name is Dick.
Fanny is a common name in France and trust me, as a French I can assure you it doesn't mean anything and most of us have no idea it actually means something in English. So I guess they live in France, it's more than ok. If not, that's another story...
I feel your pain. My fiancé wants to name our daughter Narnia
That's not a strange name in europe. They also spell it as Fannie over here. Maybe that's a solution?
Sorry to break it to you, but 'Europe' isn't a country. It's a group of 25-30 countries iirc, each one with an extremely different culture. So in parts of 'Europe' it's fine. In other parts it's dreadful.
correction: its fine in most parts of europe. we have a total of 4 english speaking country's... wich makes the name cruel in only 4 country's. Fanny is also a normal name in the Netherlands and Germany

Make sure her middle name is Pack.
For the sake of your child I hope you change her mind
