Today, my friends told me that they couldn't make it to my birthday dinner unless I changed the time, because I'd made dinner reservations that would clash with the new episode of Jersey Shore. FML

Today, I was admitted to hospital for suspected kidney failure. I called my best friend to let her know I couldn't make it to her birthday party tonight. She seemed to be infinitely more upset that I wouldn't be able to give her a birthday present. FML

The Vampire Diaries season finale was on Thursday, not Friday. But they could have recorded it or watched it online the next day. This coming from an avid fan who never misses an episode, and doesn't have a DVR.
