Today, my girlfriend got into my Facebook account and changed our relationship status to single, just to see which of my friends would "like" it. After revealing to me what she did, she now says I can no longer be friends with anyone who liked it. FML

Today, my girlfriend decided to break up with me over Facebook. Unfortunately, she "accidentally" posted it on my wall instead of sending me a message, so the whole world could see it. My mom liked her post. FML

Today, I changed my relationship status on Facebook from "in a relationship" to "single." I forgot to take my phone to work, and when I got back, I saw someone had replied, "What happened?" Someone else commented, "He broke his hand." My ex and a bunch of other "friends" liked it. FML

Today, I logged onto facebook, and saw that one of my friends had just listed herself as in a relationship. I was happy for her, so I clicked the "like" button. Then I went to her page to see who her new boyfriend was. It was my boyfriend. FML

I think they know something you don't, OP. Also, what is with so many relationship issues being to do with facebook status? Why do people care so much and why can't people talk to their partners about it maturely?

Accidently? Haha it's VERY difficult to "accidentally change your relationship status on FB. Also, Facebook is evil. About half the FMLs are about FB. And I am guessing your mom and friends don't like your girlfriend.

@ OP: I (and my gf at the time) set our relationship status to dating. My best friend and a couple other people congratulate me. After we break up a few days later and I change my status, not only does no one not say sh*t, but my "best friend" also won't talk to me on the phone so I can vent, and instead blows me off so he can do "art". FML + YOURS I feel your pain.
