That's awful that you were both virgins and you held out for her for your first time, holding this future moment dearly, and she just throws it away and shows it means nothing to her, that you weren't even the one for her, really, since she didn't lose it to you. DOn't usually say dump her, but these are horrible circumstances.

The FML doesn't state HOW the girlfriend lost her virginity. If she cheated, I'll go with the "dump her" crew. If she was raped, she'll really need your loving support; hope you can see past the virginity loss to give it. Either case is a challenge. Good luck, OP.

99 - In very religious places in the US, some nearly worship virginity, and have public discussions of "legitimate rape." Some guys would complain about the virginity part if his girlfriend was raped.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest this was consensual on the part of the girlfriend, which sucks. But to be fair, yeah, there's a lot of asshole misogyny in religion that considers virginity gone even if a woman is raped and even blames her for it. I hope this is not the case.
