Today, my girlfriend woke up very early in terrible pain. I drove her to the hospital and fell asleep in the waiting area. When I woke up, my car was gone and it was 9am. She had assumed I just walked home (32 miles), so she took the car. I was the only one in the waiting area. FML

Her pain must have messed up her critical thinking skills. First, who expects a person to WALK thirty-two miles, especially at nine in the morning??? And second, if you'd walked, she would have probably passed you on the way home, since cars drive a lot faster than people can walk...you'd still be walking home when she parked the car at your house! FYL for having an idiot girlfriend. Maybe her "terrible pain" was a result of straining the few brain cells she has available to her.

Maybe the waiting room had a lot of people in it when she was released. Irregardless, she was a tool to take the car w/o you unless she was on some serious pain meds.

She left some time around or before 9 AM, the time he woke up. Meaning they were probably there for several hours before 9 AM. If the hospitals in Norway are anything like the hospitals here, they might have had to wait upwards of five hours, depending on what she was diagnosed with. MEANING they probably got there around 4 or 5 in the morning, if not earlier.. And you're blaming him for napping while she's with the doctor? Considering that patients are not usually allowed to bring other non-patients with them to the actual examination, and that anyone with the patient must sit out in the waiting room? Idiot. Though I agree that the poster is scum, since the FML is so illogical it has to be fake. No one in their right mind would assume that a person just got up and walked THIRTY-TWO MILES home.

She probably wasn't the most clear-headed person in the world with all the pain she went through in the middle of the night, and it's even possible she was given some drugs. You have to take into consideration that, while no logical person would assume someone got up and walked 32 miles, she may not have been the most logical person at the time. And she might've had her own set of keys with her - very possible - or else the OP might've said, "I was the only one in the waiting area, and my car keys were gone." But since that wasn't mentioned, we can probably say she either wasn't "in her right mind" or she's dumb. Or hey, she might be a bitch.

I'd have to say she's dumb either way. On the one hand, if medication or painkillers SO impair her rational thinking, she probably shouldn't be driving. On the other hand...she's just retarded.

Totally fake, unless you leave your car door unlocked with the keys in the car. And I'm pretty sure if the GF was in such pain she wouldn't think to take her own set of car keys especially if her BF is driving.

That's what the good old Midwestern United States is known for! Foul autumn weather, farm folk, and trolls! Just wait until the winter breaks start around the middle of December. No school...little possibility of running around out in the snow because people these days would rather stay indoors on the internet than go outside and have fun in the snow... You'll be buried in piles of trolls. :D

Lesson #1 in taking care of someone else is getting little bits of sleep whenever you can. You never know when you have to spend a lot of time running extra errands or helping the person at odd hours. And when you get past high school, it is very common to let a gf/bf have a copy of your car and apartment keys. Comes in handy sometimes.
