Today, my grandparents thought it would be acceptable to give me and my wife Christmas presents to take to my ex-wife, along with a card saying how much they missed her and to get in touch with them next time she is in town. FML

Today, I went to my uncle's house to celebrate Christmas. His kids don't have their own phones so I let them play with mine. They sent all my contacts messages saying I love them, including two of my ex-girlfriends who both immediately wanted to make up and started to frantically call me. FML

Today, my mom is coming to pick up the Christmas presents we got for her and her husband. She won’t come inside or come within 6 feet, so she can be healthy when she goes down to the ex-wife’s parents house to hang out. The ex in-laws that hate me. Glad my mom chose them over me. FML

Today, I received a Christmas card from my husband’s parents and found for the 7th straight year I wasn’t included on the card. Instead they included a picture of my husband’s ex-girlfriend holding my baby. I’ve already received messages asking if he’s back together with her. No. No he’s not. FML

Today, I had the worst Xmas of my life. My wife has been screeching all day about my ex-wife being at a party, As if I invited her, or even had any knowledge of her being there. I even had to go outside to hide my tears of anger and frustration. This has been going on for 30 years now. FML

Today, I was at the reading of my grandma's will. Apparently I was removed from it some time ago, and the £2,500 I would have gotten went to my cheating bitch of an ex-fiancée. It seems my grandma adored her, and never forgave me for "driving her away" from the family. FML

Today, I got a call from my grandmother. Turns out my father found out about my elopement with my husband through my stepmother, because someone she works with told her. We were planning on it being a surprise, and telling people on Christmas. My father won't even talk to me now. FML

My current wife is very sweet and nice and the ex is terrible to me and my family, but they still won't let her go for some reason. I have tried talking to them but they refuse to listen to me or believe what I say. And to answer #9 the card was not in an envelope.

Nobody is saying the OP expects his family to hate his ex-wife. If they want to keep in touch with her, that's their prerogative, but they need to do it on their own. To communicate to the OP's ex-wife through him and his current wife is just plain rude unless the three are on good terms.

You know how psychics actually work...from experience, or at least some 'wordly knowledge.' Let me demonstrate: He and his ex are not on good terms. His grandparents known this yet fail to completely grasp the concept. This isn't the first time an incident like this has occurred. Furthermore (and what no one else has yet to understand), his ex does not care to maintain a relationship with his grandparents. If she did, they wouldn't be giving the present to him, remarking on how much they miss her and asking her to get in touch because they would be able to give it to her themselves and wouldn't miss her and have to beg her (through her ex) to get in touch with them. Divorces suck. What sucks worse is people not getting it.
