Today, my high-strung and normally very proper mother took twice her prescribed dose of Ambien, and extolled the virtues of a "full blown sexual relationship with oneself", advising my teenage sister to "only include the men when they behave." FML

Today, I took Ambien for the first time. Not only did I not fall asleep, but I took my mother through a list of all the men I've slept with. I do not remember a thing, but apparently I was very thorough. FML

Ambien does weird shit to people! I take it for sleep & if I exceed the dosage, I never know what I'll do! She should stick to one at bedtime!

The last time I took Ambien, I didn't think to mention it to my husband. Two hours later he thought I was having a psychotic break -- I didn't know where I was or what was going on -- and called my mom, who is a nurse, to ask which hospital he should take me to. Thank goodness I had happened to mention to her earlier that day that I was having trouble sleeping and planning to take an Ambien. Never again!
