Today, my house is on lockdown. I recently moved to Georgia from Rhode Island to be with my boyfriend. The state is on high alert for an ice storm. I'm stuck inside with my terrified boyfriend, who's calling it "the storm of the century". I used to walk to school in this weather. FML

That sucks for all of us from the north but to be fair, they are not used to any type of snow or ice

And in the north, 50 degrees is T-Shirt weather!

I live in Georgia and everyone was freaking out, there was so much drama.... for snow? But we barely see snow so I try and give them the benefit of the doubt.

The year we had two winters, seven seconds of spring before jumping into summer.

Ouch. I'm a lifelong resident of Rhode Island, so I know exactly how you feel OP. My Georgia relatives had the same exact reaction as you when they first moved down to Atlanta and saw people freaking out over snow. SNOW. Really, people. It's really not that bad. You should try it out sometime. :/

Darn southerners are so blue blooded they need coats in 50 degree weather bah! I once stood outside for half and hour in -20 short sleeves and pants snow down my shirt trying to smother the kid who did it in a snowbank

When I made the transition from Upstate NY, to Florida, you can tell how they react to cold. I wore a t-shirt on a 70 degree day, while everyone else was in winter coats

Ohhh..... I remember the snopacolypse as we call it. That was not fun down here in Georgia.

Other people on this app from Rhode Island? I thought we had a population of about 10 and I know all of them ?
