i just saw that infomercial too.....& omg....i just had sort of a similar fml happen to me. i got my dad Quantum of Solace for his bday because he likes James Bond movies. After he opens it my mom mentions that she and my dad saw it in theaters. Then my dad says to her (in front of me) "yeah my friend said she liked it but i told her i thought it was the worst James Bond movie i'd ever seen". My mom and i just look at each other like, "Did he actually just say that in front of me?" My dad goes, "What? What'd i say?". Thanks dad. Just one more thing i can never do right in your eyes.
FYL just because your husband thinks that's a good anniversary present. XD
junk
Aww dont bash the husband, he tried, its a known fact that most men suck at gift shopping for their girls. I've had to help ALL my guy friends shop for their girlfriends, they are clueless. But at least he TRIED! and didnt forget your anniversary. Cause honestly, is getting one bad gift really that bad considering the years worth of bad gifts people get during their life time?
I saw that commercial. Seriously, its completely lame.
Oooh, that necklace sounds ridiculously tacky. And, if you have a good, understanding relationship, you don't have to try to save your ass. Now he knows not to buy jewelry from TV

This looks familiar... maybe I moderated it. Anyway, it's the thought that counts. Apologize for insulting the gift, and tell him you'll treasure it because he gave it to you, even if you don't like it too much. I'm sure that'll make him forgive you.
I agree with #1, but if you want to REALLY save your butt, you can lie and say that the only reason you said that was because you didn't think he could afford something like that and you didn't want him to feel bad? Though I don't always condone lying, I think that could help.
