Today, my husband finally decided to help with the laundry. He washed a pen and it exploded in the dryer. FML

I've heard guys admit to deliberately messing up on housework- particularly any chores they feel are 'too girly' for them- so that their wife, fiancée, or girlfriend (or any family members) won't ask them to do it anymore. Not saying that's what your husband necessarily did, but if he's had a tendency to mess up at stuff you ask him to do, you may want to consider it. (Not to mention my own brother admitted to doing it to one of his friends, so that our mom would stop asking him to do stuff and so I would do it just to avoid the hassle and stress of cleaning up after his **** ups.) As to the ink- soak some cloths- or better yet, a towel- you are willing to throw away in vinegar, pop them in the dryer on high for about ten minutes. Let sit for five minutes, open it and wipe off all the ink that will come off with another vinegar soaked cloth and a dry one. Repeat until clean, resoaking the fabric being used to steam the dryer as needed. (Also, this is kind of obvious, but just in case: even though bleach and hair spray are touted as "hacks" to clean ink stains, DO NOT put either in the dryer. The bleach obviously will ruin clothes, while the hairspray can outright catch on fire while the dryer is on, or create a large fireball when the dryer door is opened.)

I’ve done this a couple of times, it was probably an honest mistake, but yeah, this sucks.

Ha ha My husband did that to my precious dryer. I got the stains off with .....either hairspray or medical alcohol.

Sam here, sometimes they should just leave it alone

Then get a job or just do the damn laundry. Oh sorry. Maybe you go to his job and help him out
