Today, my husband told me that he can't find his passport. We're supposed to be leaving for Prague in two days. He's known about the trip for months. It was the anniversary vacation that was going to help our frayed relationship. Now my money is going to a hotel in Prague, but I'm not. FML

Today, the day before my wife and I leave for our 1 year anniversary trip, I realized my passport expires in 2014, not 2015. Instead of a week's stay at an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic, we'll be spending three days in Louisville. Three angry days in Louisville. FML

Today, I went with my girlfriend to the airport for some much needed vacation time. We arrived on time but were stopped at the gate when they told me I didn't have the right passport. The plane left without me. My girlfriend did too. FML

Today, I was unable to go on my dream vacation because I thought I'd lost my passport. Feeling incredibly stupid, I had no choice but to watch my plane depart without me. Shortly after, my brother handed me passport, saying that since I wasn't going on my trip, I could use my refund to pay for his cat's surgery. My trip was non-refundable. FML

Today, I told my boyfriend I wouldn't be able to get any time off work to go to Mexico with him, and that we'd have to get our tickets refunded, and reschedule. He said not to bother, and that he already had someone else in mind to take with him. FML

Today, my husband told me to look for a honeymoon resort, since we had to cancel it last year. I looked everything up and got all excited. Just when I asked him for payment information, he said "April Fools!" April Fools was two days ago. FML

Um..... no one has mentioned that he has TWO days to find it... it shouldn't be that hard. And if he honestly said that he can't go because he can't find his passport two days before the trip, then he probably doesn't want to go. Sorry.

go without him!!!!! you'll feel lonely at first but it'll be the most uplifting experience you've had in a while. itll be some good soul searching...do you want to be with someone who clearly doesnt care about your feelings or your relationship?? go to the shops you want, hang out at the cafes you want and sight see what you want!!! **** him. I travel alone and I find it liberating. you meet some of the most interesting people that way too. good luck and I hope you do go.

he can get a new passport... same day at any passport center like in Detroit... as long as the trip is less than 2 weeks away... cost is $160 for an expedited passport/replacement. he can go in morning to apply and pick it up by 4 pm same day.

This person is from the UK... the fast track is unavailable for replacement passports (or any service which in essence issues a "new" passport) as a fraud prevention measure, thus 1 week is the shortest period for a replacement. The 1-day service is only available for renewal of expired passports, or amending details on existing passports.
