Today, my husband told me that he's letting his mother move in with us. He told her it was alright without even consulting me first. I hate my mother-in-law so much that I'm contemplating divorce rather than living with her. FML

Today, I can no longer tolerate my mother-in-law. She's not a bad person, but anytime she opens her mouth it is only to criticize, chastise, scold, or blame me. My husband is too terrified of her to ask her to leave our home. FML

Today, my mother-in-law yelled from across the house for me to come quickly. She sounded frantic, so I rushed and asked what was wrong. She said, "Nothing." and that she just wanted to remind me that she hates my guts. She'll be living here with me and my wife for the next two months. FML

Today, my husband refused to let my mother move in with us. He said he’d rather buy her another house than let her move in, then he actually threatened divorce before he’d let her move in. He’s never been this stubborn before about anything. I don’t get it. FML

Today, I found out that my unemployed and very needy mother-in-law will be moving in with us soon. And during my conversation on the phone with her, she expects us to buy a house and my wife and I can "live with her." My wife agrees with all of this. FML

Today, my mother-in-maw informed us that she sold her house and is moving in with us so we'll "take care" of her in old age. She's in perfect health. We've only been married for 4 months. My wife can't stand her for more than 2 weeks at a time, let alone living with us. FML

Today, my boyfriend's mother told me she had fantasies about throwing him out a window when he was a baby because she was so depressed and couldn't handle the stress. The worst part is he wants to get married. She'd be my mother-in-law. FML

You can sympathize with my Mom. My Dad's mother had to live with us for about 4 years before she passed. Our family had about a 3 year period to ourselves. And now my Dad's father has been living with us for the past 4 years.

when you're married you should not be living with your parents! -.- especially if your husband/wife doesn't like them...I feel bad for you OP... I understand how you'd wanna spend the rest of your life with your husband not his mother..he didn't even confront you about it and I have a feeling he knew you didn't like her.... but talk to him and try and work it out before resorting to divorce, people usually do that because it's the easy way out.

this is the thing about a women in a relationship if it were her mom she would expect her husband to be happy just because she is happy, but now because it negatively affects her in the smallest way she would rather divorce him than deal with her problem. real classy work there missy.
