I think a mother in law that likes and accepts you enough to be that open with you should not be an "fml". Rather, it should be: "Today, I tried to oped up to my unappreciative daughter in law and give her advice, just for her to tell the whole world about it and consider it a 'fml' situation"

I think it would be awesome to have a mother-in-law be that supportive. There are some who would go to the ends of the earth to break up her son and his wife/girlfriend. Sounds like you're an unappreciative prude! She is trying to help, and her advice is most likely very accurate and helpful, SHE DID give you her son and all, she probably knows a thing or two. It would also be very comforting knowing that you have a family member THAT excited for grandchildren. She will obviously be a fantastic and proud grandma!! Yeah, your life is terrible!
