At least they enjoyed it...and it's easy to make!

If your husband likes your cooking, don't sweat it. Kids are naturally scornful of stuff that doesn't have fat or sugars or some such thing that tastes good to undeveloped taste buds. Try to convince your man to help with meals if not cook them himself, and in the meantime seek some advice or try a cookbook. Don't make wacky dishes or try anything with a strong flavor to it, as a remotely picky kid will hate it. Avoid veggies that are naturally spicy or tangy. And, as much as it may kill a health-conscious mother to do it, don't buy low-fat, low-sodium, low-etc anything. They really do taste worse than the standard. Also consider making stuff like pizza, which is much healthier homemade than from a chain.

#6 (Tarunyboy), how does that imply she doesn't spend enough time with them? Saying that she made Kraft and that they complimented it for the first time implies that maybe they don't like her home cooking, which would imply she does spend time with them since she is cooking them home cooked meals. Maybe I'm stretching it, but I hardly think anyone can gather that she doesn't spend enough time with her kids from this FML. And to the poster, don't feel bad. I'm assuming your kids are young, so their idea of a fantastic meal is probably a McDonald's happy meal. Children can't appreciate fine cuisine. If adults frequently insult your cooking, then you may have a problem.

Lmao. You must be a really terrible cook. OR Your children are fussy, and like cheap foods.

woohoo kraft rocks, oh well at least you can cook that and its better than nothing
