Today, my mom came home from surgery. Upon arriving home, she flashed a paper in my face and said, "Want to see pictures of my colon?" My eyes are still burning. FML

Today, I showed my girlfriend some old home videos of me as a kid. My dad must have taped over one though, because halfway through it cut to extremely graphic footage of his colonoscopy. FML

Today, I crawled into my mom's room to tell her my stomach was in massive pain. She ended up throwing me out of the room while spraying me with Lysol. My appendix was about to burst and I needed surgery. FML

Today, I was looking in the refrigerator for something to drink. I found a jug of lemonade with a piece of paper on it saying "Mom's Lemonade, Don't Drink!" I was really thirsty, so I ignored it and drank the whole jug. My mom is about to have a colonoscopy and had filled it with laxatives. FML

Big deal! They have to clean it out before they go into surgery anyways. Clean colon= just another part of the body.

If it was after a colonoscopy, it's not a surgery, but they do have to clean out the colon, and that's the worst part!

My dad did the same thing to me after he had his heart surgery. I didn't have a chance to run screaming from the room with my eyes covered, either, haha. He still shows the before/after pictures to his friends at the coffee shop...

I <3 colorectal surgery! ive assited tons of surgeries but after transplants g.i. is my fav...ahh tonight I shall have sweet dreams of running feet of bowel for adhesions and obstructions while watching them squirm from peristalsys :-)
