I was sleeping on the couch (sitting up), and she came over with scissors and decided my hair needed to be 3 inches shorter than it was. Now my hair ends all bluntly at my shoulders and poofs out since my hair is naturally wavy. Before I had lovely natural beauty waves to the small of my back ;-;

I still don't understand how this happened. Even if she snuck up on you, you can still pull away and turn to talk, or yell, at them. Just because she is your mother doesn't mean you have to keep owing to her will at your age.

That's terrible OP... Man, does your hair at least grow back fast? I know my hair takes forever to grow.
Thankfully, my hair does grow fairly quick. What most people would get in 6 months I can generally get in 4.
That is horrible, OP. I cannot imagine being that disrespectful of anyone, especially someone I love. Make the best of the day, and I would advise that you limit your contact in the future.
Personally, I'd be tempted to shave her head or give her horrible bangs or something like that as revenge. I mean, if she can decide yours is too long, maybe she's due a haircut too?
Man I would've given my mom hell. Doesn't matter that she's my mom. If anyone violated such a personal aspect of my appearance, they would NEVER hear the end of it. But, I mean, my hair is the #1 thing I love about my appearance, and it's 2ft long. My hair is really special to me lol

Oh man, I would have been enraged! Hell, I almost am on your behalf.
I'd be so incredibly pissed. Since no one's said it yet, I'll also mention that cutting someone's hair without their permission is illegal. I'm pretty sure you could sue her for battery if you were so inclined. Either way, I hope you had a serious talk with her about respect.
As a guy with long hair (just below my shoulder blades), I would destroy my mothers hair.
I was giving my in-laws a stern talk when they decided to cut my then four-year-olds hair (they cut the hair above the eyes really short, which looked awful). If someone would cut my long hair without my consent, I would go ballistic.

Depending on your local laws, that is considered anything from assault to assault with a deadly weapon, if OP wished to go down that route. I would point out that she now owes you the money to get it fixed
