How about no. And if your mum's boss threatens your mum, contact HER boss.
My thought would be to have her give her mom a promotion and only claim doing it after paperwork for said promotion were drawn up and signed... yes, the insurance would go up, but getting your mom a better job is nice. Unless the boss is just a constant bitch who could use a slap from Karma... if that's the case, sing like a canary and tell it like it was!
Do the right thing and report it. She made a mistake and there are sometimes consequences. If her fees go up she will drive more careful or up it goes again. Don't enable her and don't let people like her intimidate just to save there own butts. She is just mad she did it and it's easier to deflect, then admit fault.
You car was parked?! How in the world could that ever be your fault? Unless parked in an illegal spot
ok i have been reading comments and particularly the people like #23 who do not get it so im going to break it down. If op gets a signed letter stating that the boss is going to pay out of pocket for the repairs then the car is fixed no insurance goes up win win. Also if the boss backs out you have a legal document to sue for the damages again no insurance goes up but boss upset so win lose. There is no law that states you have to report every incident with your car to your insurance. Now for all those saying hr will do this or that depends on some factors for example does op mom live in a employment at will state? If so the boss can walk into work say your fired for not smiling today and 0 can be done unless their is a union or they can prove discrimination. Now before people scream he is discriminating against her cause of the accident no discrimination is race gender or physical characteristics. The boss targeted her and free hire free fire does not protect from that. Either way hope it goes ok op
well your mom's boss can go **** herself. And you could get her on fraud for her trying to make you take the blame.
You're allowed to say no. Funny how many problems that little word fixes.

Ummm. No. Your moms boss hit your car. They need to be accountable for that.
I had to reread this like five times to realize that it was the boss who told you that and not your mom..I was so confused. Tell your mom what happened for sure.
