Today, my mom told me she'd canceled my spring break trip to Europe for my 16th birthday. Why? So I could get my wisdom teeth pulled 2 months early. FML

Wtf? Sorry but that's not the reason why she cancelled it. She's hiding something because quite clearly that's not the real reason. I hope you can get things sorted out. GL OP

But wisdom teeth pulling costs money too; not all of it is covered by insurance. I think there's another reason here too

I bet she can't afford a European spring break trip AND a wisdom tooth removal surgery within two months of each other so opted to move the surgery up in order to save herself the embarrassment of having to explain it.

Seems pretty likely that this is a money issue. Both are expensive, and only one is really necessary.

I'm not sure about yours, but wisdom teeth are potentially incredibly painful and removing them isn't a crappy option. I hate it for you OP, that really does suck.

true. her mom could be planning something bigger for her birthday. or something good will come for her since she couldn't go on her trip. sucks her mom cancelled it though so she could get her teeth pulled. hopefully op will get something better.
