Today, my mom told me that if I wanted to commit suicide, I should make it seem like a car accident, and not do it in the house, because she would be too embarrassed if people thought she was a bad parent. FML

Today, I wouldn’t let my sister borrow my car, so she told our parents that I’m depressed and threatened to kill myself, which is a lie. My mom is on the phone to 999 trying to get me a 72-hour psychiatric hold in hospital, and every time I say it was a lie, my dad says I’m in typical denial. FML

Hey OP, I'm really sorry that your mom would something like that to you. She cares more about her image than she does about your life? That's not how a parent should be. If you're struggling with anything, I'm so sorry. You don't don't deserve to be treated like that.
