Wow, that is seriously messed up. First, I really hope that you aren't considering suicide. Second, that's a terrible thing for a mother to say to her child. No matter what your situation is right at the moment, please know that there are always people who care. I wish you well, OP, and I hope that your mother apologizes to you for that statement. That was a very selfish thing to say to someone.

OP that is such an awful thing to say to another person. Unfortunately there are some parents who are not supportive of their children, and it truly sucks. I am so so sorry she said that to you. I am wondering, does she have any sort of mental disorder that means she isn't herself at times? Regardless it is an awful thing to hear. I hope you know that you are special. You are important - you will find someone who appreciates you. I am sorry your mother - by the sound of it - is unable to see this. But the fact is that some of the strongest people went through the worst times. Florence Nightingale was forced to be her sister's servant for a year by her parents because she wanted to be a nurse, and I know of a lot of people who do not talk to their family anymore due to a crappy history with them. You are more than this, and your experience is important in shaping you and you might be able to use it to help others someday.

Wow unfortunately there are no tests if you wanna become a parent. But try to adopt, they do better checks than FBI!
