Today, my mom told me that she doesn't want me to help any of my friends get a job at the restaurant I work at. Apparently, she thinks that they would do a better job than me and get me fired. FML

Today, I found out that my mom called my boss informing him that I am a little behind on some college projects. She felt he should know that she fears I might not be able to graduate on the planned date. My boss had already offered me a permanent job. I may not get that job now. FML

Haven't you seen the tv shows and movies where you hire your friend and then you end up getting fired because your friend is better than you at that job? Just don't hire your friend.

Well, maybe your mom just thinks you have a terrible work ethic. Maybe you should take this as advice, and start taking your job more seriously, or prove to your mother that you are a dedicated worker.
