Today, instead of having my friends come pick me up, my dad drove me over to visit them. He insisted on walking me up to the door, hugging me goodbye, and making sure my friends were appropriate enough to hang out with. I'm in college. FML

Today, my mom and I went to Winn-Dixie. I told her I was going to a different isle 5 minutes later I hear my name on the intercom to go to the front of the store. As I go I see my mom crying, she comes and hugs me and tells me she thought I was lost. Im 22, I had my cell phone, and I drove there. FML

To the people saying YDI, it's likely that the OP doesn't actually cut classes, and is in college, but his a ridiculously overprotective mom who didn't get the memo that her child is now legally an adult. FYL.

He's ******* 20 years old...this should not happen, period. I can understand some form of parent intervention if they are paying for his school. But the boy has to grow up sometime. He is an adult - he can make his own decisions on whether to skip class. When he has to take the same classes again, or when his parents cut him off and make him find another way to pay for school, he will learn not to skip.
