FYL x1000000000. LOL
If you think this is FML, you obviously don't understand. Your mom can't walk you to college because you can't cut classes. Attendance is never that mandatory... Thsi guy is in high school. His life isnt Fed, his priorities are. He obviously needs to grow up.
Where do you go were you take classes that don't have mandatory attendance? Yeah, giant lecture classes don't have mandatory attendance because there are simply too many people to take it, but most of my classes have a much smaller number of people. Yeah, attendance is mandatory, and you know what? They'll lower your grade or fail you if you miss enough days. Most of my Profs also include participation as part of our grade, which you can only get if you go to class. Granted, I don't think the OP's mom needs to be walking him to class. Unless of course he's failing the classes because of skipping. This doesn't make sense though because colleges aren't actually allowed to notify the parents of student going ons. Every piece of mail that contains grades etc is addressed to the student. Of course, if his mom is overprotective and neurotic then maybe she took his log-in information for the online grading stuff and checks up on him.
To #54, none of my classes this year are mandatory, and last year, I think attendance was taken in two or three out of eight classes. But if your mum is paying for your education and you're taking it for granted and skipping, then you YDI. Stop being lazy and go to class, college is hardly a 9-5 thing everyday for most degrees.
Perhaps he'is in prépa, thus all his classes are mandatory.
attendance is not mandatory in college, but if u don't go it's still cutting
btw: in most high schools, u can't continue on beyond age 19
Yeah, my high school let people go until 20, but once they hit 21 they couldn't anymore. I think it probably had something to do with them being able to buy alcohol.
clearly mommy must be paying for it. lol
Free personal bodyguard.
I think it's cute :) it's normal, she wants garantue that her boy doesn't cuts classes and go on drugs. she probably did that because she doesn't thrust you?
WTH I pity you!!
snickerdoodles, f your moms life for having you

YDI for your mom feeling that it was necessary. You must have done something first.
