I charge them rent but also pay them to babysit. They have a pretty sweet deal. My Husband works out of province i'm essentially a single mother 2 week of each month and my youngest son has special needs. Laundry is very low on my list of things to do in my kids waking hours lol

sounds like the price of rent just went up
Time for mommy to find a new home
Lol I love how heartless most of you guys are. So you are saying that because she says something that displeases you, that you should kick her out? Wow. I bet most of you guys said something that displeased her many times when you lived in her house, but did she kick you out because of one incident? No. If something like this happened you're supposed to talk with your mom and tell her it's not right for her to do it. Most mothers I'm sure will understand and stop.
Ha Ha Ha
I actually feel sorry for her mother all this people calling her a b**** and tellin op to kick her out ;( fhl you people are mean that's her mother the one who raised her gave her an education pretty much took care of op's basic needs, she deserves to be treated w/ a bit of respect.
Maybe her mom should look in the mirror for this "respect" you're speaking of.
I would never let my mother live with me. She is a dead beat mother and when my dad took her to court for custody of me when i was 13, she didn't even show up. So, **** that.
Your comment : Parents who charge their kids rent are idiots. If they're going to school/working to save money to get out on their own, no rent should be charged. I never understood that, nor heard of a parent doing that until I met my husband 6 years ago and his mother was charging him 200.00 (at, 17) .. I would never do that to my son unless he was 25-30+ and failed to launch! If OP's mother chrged her rent, she should be charging her mother! Fair is fair!
My parents' rule was: If you're in school, no rent. If you're working, you pay rent. It's not ~cruelty~, it's a way to help your children learn to budget their money, because guess what? When they move out, they're definitely going to have to be paying rent, and it's most likely going to be more than what they're charging you.
