With that logic we should just seal people in cans and open them at a later date because they don't have an expire.
theres a reason sealed canned food is called a nonperishable. It doesn't go bad as long as its container remains sealed.
Just think of it as building up your defenses against spoiled food!

Actually she is right. The expiration dates don't mean that you can't eat the food, just that it can no longer be sold. It's not like food goes bad at the stroke of midnight at the end of the expiration date. If you want to know if your food is bad, just smell it, look at it and if it looks and smells right taste it before you use it.

Canned food is good for a long time after the expiration date. Just sayin'. Manufactures print the "best by" date, but that doesn't mean it's spoiled even months later.
