Today, I told my mom I'm severely allergic to my cat and that the doctor told me it would be best to get rid of the cat. Somewhat jokingly, I told her it was either me or the cat. She chose the cat. She was serious too. FML

Today, after being diagnosed with cat allergies, I explained to my cat-loving boyfriend that the doctor strongly recommended not allowing the cat in the bedroom. At 1:30 a.m. my boyfriend got out of the bed to go sleep in the spare room because, "the cat is sad." FML

Today, I went to the doctor for allergy testing. Apparently, one of my worst allergies is cats. I'm a "crazy cat lady" who loves anything cat-related and has 3 cats. Allergy shots, here I come. FML

How about getting the doctor to sign a piece of paper stating that, "Allergies are never contagious, and anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot." lol, still, pretty hilarious. FYL indeed, because this is probably not the only stupidity you have to deal with from your mother-in-law.

Talk to her quietly on the phone, then cough and tell her the disease is now in her ear. She is going to get an earache everytime she touches the cat. She should go to her doctor immediately.
