Today, my mother, who religiously checks her bank account after every purchase, then shreds her receipts, got fed up with me not doing the same. So she shredded all my piled up receipts. These include the 100s of dollars I had spent for my work, which I need the receipts to get reimbursed for. FML

People shouldn't mess with others' things.

Why would she shred them though? It is useful to have proof of purchase for things...

I'd be making her reimburse you. Not to mention, surely it's illegal to shred other people's receipts? Especially when they are worth so much?

I know one little mommy mommy which is going to pay... >:) At least I would make mine pay for sure. She shouldn't mess around with your stuff!

Why don't you "shred" her important documents. Say, her birth certificate for example... or snip up her credit card :)

That's false logic, house prices go down because people can't afford to pay as much, people can't afford to pay as much because they have less. It's still just as hard to save up for a house, it's only easier if you already had the money before the recession.

Step 1: Make a purchase. Step 2: Say an Our Father and 2 Hail Mary's. Step 3: Log onto your bank's website and check your balance.

Ah, now I understand. Thank you, HeroicDude.
