That sucks OP, they do take getting used to (I've never actually had them before, so I don't really know) but be careful, I've had friends take fake nails off and ruined their nails. I suggest that you just clip them off as short as you can and just file them smooth until they fall off naturally.

If it happens again try hoping in shower perhaps. May seem like a longer way but better then sitting there stranded or cutting something with the nails. Hope you've been recused by now though. ^.^

They would need to be soaked in pure acetone for a good while depending on how thick your mom did them. I made the mistake of not soaking my very first set and ruined my actual nails. >< Hope you got saved. or eventually figured out how to wipe

Wrap your hand with toilet paper until it's this big fistball of white and then use "dabbing" motions.

If you still can type while you have the nails on the i guess you can wipe. so why is this a FML?

You need to soak your nails in acetone for about 30 minutes! Just sit down, watch some tv and wait. Then you will have to scrub the goop off, they won't just pop off, but turn into mush.

I had sympathy for you until I read they were short. I get that you're not use to them but it's not that hard to wipe with them and to be sitting on the toilet for half an hour because you don't want to while is ******* stupid. 104, actually you'd be surprised at how difficult it is to adapt to long nails when your nails are usually short. I play piano, viola, and guitar, and long nails would just get in the way of practicing my instruments, so I keep my nails incredibly short. For my senior prom, I got fake nails, and though they weren't super long, I had a hard time doing things I normally had no issue with because I had to adapt to doing things with longer nails. If you're not used to it, it's pretty confusing.

I feel you on not being used to them. The first time I got fake nails I couldn't even button my jeans. Little things like picking up objects and such became hard because I wasn't used to the longer fragile object protruding off my nail. Lol! I've only had my nails done twice...one for prom, one because I was convinced by a friend to go with her. I just grow my natural nails now. Good luck with your nail dilemma.
