Today, my new room-mate moved in. She spent over an hour obsessively searching the place for god knows what kind of secret recording devices, and now aggressively demands that I taste-test all of her pre-prepared meals to make sure they're not poisoned. FML

Your roommate has presented you the perfect opportunity to pull some master pranks. Use her paranoia to your advantage.

Put iocaine in her drink after building up an immunity to it. Problem solved.

i think she should probably consider living by herself if she's that paranoid

Duuuudee, why are you complaining. You could have SO much fun with this. If you live near me can we swap places? I'll learn your mannerisms, mimic your speech, cut hair, I'll do anything to make her think you've been morphing into multiple individuals and got mixed up in the transformation. Ahhh I'm dying to do this!

I think that's a horrible thing to do. This person obviously has some sort of mental issue, schizophrenia, paranoia or what ever it may be, so that's just like saying 'you're fat' to someone with anorexia. You're making their view on things, which is not real, real. On another note, I like your profile picture :3

Poison part of the food. Eat unpoisoned part.

What are you complaining about? You have so many opportunities for trolling.

Did you have this roommate fill out an application? Did you do a background check including talking to previous roommates? I mean they are living with you, you may have wanted to do the due diligence to minimize the crazy. Maybe the men in white coats with nets will take the problem away! If not, I'd invest on a good lock for your bedroom door!

Sounds like she's trying to get you to move out already

if your not in a legal bind or have money problems then tell her (calmly) that your not her survent and your not going to risk your life just because she's too paranoid to eat her own *beep* food, and if she has a problem with that then tell her tough luck. she can just move out all over again. best of luck op.

She either is putting on a act to get a room to herself, or she does have something seriously wrong with her and you should keep a journal of her behavior and get her carted off to a mental hospital at your earliest connivence.
