That's what my grandparents did. Except we don't talk to them at all anymore. They didn't approve of us since we weren't Catholic and decided we weren't worth their time to even talk to. I couldn't care less about this gifts but it sucks that other people are going through a similar thing.

my ex in laws did something similar to my children 2 Christmases ago! they told my kids they couldn't take their presents home because my mom.bought them the gift she wanted to get them first.... needless to say that's when the shot hit the fan!
