Today, my phone started ringing in the other room. I ran to go pick it up, tripped over my coffee table which gashed my leg, and knocked over my brand new 50" LCD TV, which broke over my head. Turns out it was a wrong number. FML

Today, I was waiting at home for a phone call. While I was in the bathroom, the phone rang. I quickly stopped my business and ran out of the bathroom with my pants round my ankles. I leaped over the couch, tripping and then stubbing my toe while hopping to the phone. It was a telemarketer. FML

Today, I was daydreaming in bed when my phone rang from across the room. I scrambled out of my covers, tripped over a pair of boots I had by the bed, and slipped on some jeans laying on the floor. Luckily, I answered my phone in time, but only to have my mom tell me to clean my room before she got home. FML

Today, I accidentally slammed my leg against the coffee table. It was only after I went to the bathroom a few minutes later that I realized there's now a massive gash on my upper leg. I also got in trouble for yelling, "SON OF A BITCH!" as soon as the impact occurred. FML

Today, I was walking into my living room when I slipped over the carpet, bashed my head on my glass table, and was moaning in pain on the floor. My parents came running when they heard my head bang… straight to the table, to see if there were any scratches on it. FML

numbers 6&7, no the OP is not an idiot for going to pick up a phone - how did they know it wasn't a family member ringing to say someone had died or something like that? There's no way of telling it's a wrong number with Caller ID etc until you actually GET to the phone. Thus the OP is not an idiot for wanting to answer the phone. It's just unfortunate that the coffee table and 50" LCD TV got in the way. And to those who cry FAKE! and/or "it's overdone" well, a fair amount of the FMLs I've read on here seem fake or overdone, so stop whinging about it. OP, you have my sympathy. Hope you get a new TV soon.

You forgot to mention that you were 'knocked-out' like other like FMLs. I'm sure the television is under warranty, and if you can afford a 50" TV, get a ******* cell phone. Or at least a wireless one. Another thing is, how do you trip over a coffee table if you weren't attempting to hurdle it?
